$2,000 Scholarships Being Offered By Sodexo and the HIRE Group!

Joining forces to provide expanded opportunities for tomorrow's hospitality leaders is a group of Hospitality Industry Recruiting Executives known as HIRE.  HIRE is a partnership between Hyatt, Marriott, Red Lobster and Sodexo. The HIRE group has been working together since 2000 and the goal is to have fair representation of hospitality, restaurant and outsourcing at various industry events and to support organizations such as the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH). By working together, in a non-competitive environment, these four companies leverage talent and resources to sponsor and support our industry in various ways such as funding of scholarships, support to hospitality and/or collegiate organizations and by hosting industry events.

The HIRE scholarship was introduced to NSMH about six years ago. Recent recipients of the $2000 scholarship include Robin Brewster of Boston University (2008) and Aaron Solamani of Washington State University (2007). 

You should apply! An hour or two of your time could land you $2000 towards your education and an early introduction to these four top hospitality companies. NSMH members pursuing careers in hospitality and who will graduate in December 2009 and beyond are eligible to apply. You will have the possibility to join an international structure at the Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) level. This is long term Internship program that will last from 6 up to 12 months and is designed for individuals passionate by Marketing and being in the last year of their studies. This is a development role and it is anticipated that after one year you could be suitably qualified to take a more senior role within the Marketing structure either in our HQ in Paris or in one of our subsidiaries at the country level (both within & beyond CEE Region).
