Internship Opportunities Abound at Sodexo Despite Flagging Economy

Sodexo’s Future Leaders Internship Program has tripled in size over the past three years. While many companies are laying off their current employees or cutting back on their hiring, Sodexo has gone in the opposite direction with its internship program. According to Cassandra Caldwell, Sodexo’s Director of College and Strategic Relations, “increases in internship commitments stem from our company’s commitment to train our future leaders. The current state of the economy is challenging. After our economy improves, Sodexo will be prepared with a strong pipeline of top college talent who will have gained valuable company experience during their internships.” One of the goals of the program is to convert interns into Sodexo managers once they complete their college degrees.

To accommodate the increase in internship requests, the program has been expanded to include a part-time spring internship which will begin in March 2009, in addition to the full-time summer internship. To see a list of current openings, please click here.
