SodexoMAGIC Heads to the Rock

SodexoMAGIC and Earvin “Magic” Johnson hosted the debut of the newly renovated MSNBC.com Digital Café on December 9th, 2009 in New York City. The MSNBC.com Digital Café, operated by SodexoMAGIC, welcomed 75 NBC Universal executives and guests to its space located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Ever since launching his partnership with Sodexo USA in 2006, the former L.A. Laker has made huge strides to grow SodexoMAGIC, the contract foodservice business they operate together. The café features a Red Mango concept, Seattle’s Best and a wide array of fresh grab ’n’ go, salads, fruits and sushi and has stunning views of the Today Show plaza and the Rockefeller Center ice skating rink. The café is the final destination spot for the millions of visitors who tour the NBC studios annually.

In addition, Mr. Johnson was also featured on the “Who Knew” segment of the Today Show with Kathy Lee and Hoda Kotb in the MSNBC.com Café. Introduced as the President of SodexoMAGIC and the operator of the MSNBC.com Café, Mr. Johnson participated in the questions and answers portion of the segment along with Kathie Lee. The topic of the day was health and wellness. The Today Show producers were so impressed with the location of the café, they have asked to do the “Who Knew” segment from the café each week.
