Sodexo Recognized by Black Enterprise as Top 40 Company
For the third consecutive year, Sodexo has been recognized as one of Black Enterprise magazine’s 40 Best Companies for Diversity. Sodexo was recognized by Black Enterprise for the diversity of its employee base, senior management and board of directors. According to the magazine, "Companies like those on our list that invest in the development and expansion of such human capital will emerge as today’s winners and tomorrow’s leaders."
"At Sodexo, building a diverse and inclusive workforce is a key competitive advantage. Our success depends on the quality of the talent we bring to our company. We know that the more diverse our workforce, the greater the potential for innovation that will lead to continued business growth," said Senior Vice President and Global Chief Diversity Officer Rohini Anand.
To compile its list, the magazine evaluated responses from surveys sent to the top 1,000 publicly traded companies, as well as 100 leading global companies with a strong presence in the United States. The rankings were based on these companies’ responses regarding minority participation in four areas: board of directors, total workforce, senior management and supplier diversity.
Black Enterprise magazine will feature its 40 Best Companies for Diversity in the July 2010 issue and online at www.blackenterprise.com.
